Welcome to Harlem River Park, a multi-phased project being constructed by the City of New York on 20 acres along the Manhattan side of the Harlem River, between the Harlem River and the Harlem River Drive, from 125th to 145th Streets.
The Harlem River Park Task Force (HRPTF), formed with community stakeholders in December 2001 and led by Harlem Community Development Corporation, was a group of local, citywide and regional organizations and elected officials that met monthly to help the city plan and manage Harlem River Park. During its activity, the task force was instrumental in generating the local community support needed to fund, design and construct an environmentally and culturally sensitive waterfront gathering spot.

In 2015 the Task Force transferred planning, maintenance and development of Harlem River Park to Partnership for Parks. This website serves as a resource for individuals interested in working with Partnership for Parks to address the future needs of Harlem River Park and to continue the model of sustainable, community-driven, and environmentally sensitive development set forth by the Harlem River Park Task Force.

Thank you to all the valuable members of the Harlem River Park Task Force without whom this project would not have been possible.
